MPL: Aizawl FC came out on top with 10 men!

The round 10 of the Mizoram Premier League continues as Aizawl FC cruised to victory when Aroh Joel scored the all important goal against Chanmari FC. Aroh Joel was given a red card soon after he scored the goal. Aizawl FC remains firmly on the 3rd position with the win as Chanmari FC are in the 4th positiona nd 5 points behind. Chanmari FC 0-1 Aizawl FC (Aroh Joel 31') Man of the Match : Laldinpuia (Aizawl FC) The starting xi Chanmari FC (4-2-1-3) : OP-a; Zomuana, Chhinga, Thangpuia, Sawmtea; Mahuma, MSa; Jerry, Dawngtea, Achia, Tuaitea. Aizawl FC (4-4-2) : MS-a; Ricky, Laldina, Malsawma, Zuala; Brandon, Aroh Joel, Johny, Zorema; Michael, Ramenga. Aizawl FC foreign player Aroh Joel was Man of the Match on two occasions already and his efforts from 30 yards came off the cross bar right at the start of the match. Chanmari FC Tuaitea had to give way to Mike Colney at just 10 minutes due to an injury. Chanmari FC had more possession of the ball but chances were not created much form it. their best chance was when Mike Colney failed to reach Dawngtea's cross. Aizawl FC had a good game and Ramenga was at the middle of all the important moves. Striker Michael had few chances but did not capitalize on them. At 31 minutes Aizawl FC Aroh Joel opened the scoring with a fine header from a corner. But soon after the goal, Aroh Joel was given a yellow card for elbowing a player and was given a second yellow card for the words he used after getting the first yellow card. Chanmari FC had replaced their youngster Jerry at half time with Tluanga. Aizawl FC replaced their winger winger Zorema with midfielder Tluanga. Ramenga played as a winger and they used only one striker. Chanmari FC did not improve their game in the second half but Captain Rochhingpuia had a chance to score a header but it was saved and the rebound was headed over the bar by Mahuma. Aizawl FC played an intelligent counter attacking game since they had only 10 men in the field and Ramenga provided a good ball for another foreigner Justice who came on for Michael but Chanamri FC Thangpuia intervened at the last moment. Chanmari FC could not make any clear chance to score and by the end of the match, they were presented with a freekick from just outside the box. Captain Chhinga stepped up but his shot was easily caught by keeper MS-a. There were no more goals in the second half and Aizawl FC won the match by 1-0.
